This specimen was lot 3287 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €1,750 (about US$2,359 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"TSCHECHIEN, TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI, Republik. Dukat 1935, Kremnitz. St. Wenzel. GOLD. Vorzüglich +. (republic of Czechoslovakia, ducat of 1935, Kremnitz mint, St. Wenceslaus. Extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1923-39 and 1951 along with 2 dukaty, 5 and 10 dukatu. This type is rarely seen circulated, suggesting the hoarding of what few examples escaped government vaults. The obverse portrait is of "good" king Wenceslas, he of the well-known Christmas carol.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold.
