Cyprus 1998 cent

The Cypriot coinage was reformed in 1983 and the mils was dropped. This type was minted in several varieties 1983-98. Cyprus, off the coast of Turkey, has been de facto partitioned between the Turkish north and the Greek center and south since the early 1970's.

Recorded mintage: 15,000,000.

Specification: 2 g, nickel-brass, 16.5 mm diameter.
