This specimen was lot 33530 in Heritage sale 3098 (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $4,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "Curacao: Dutch Colony. Wilhelmina Proof 1/10 Gulden 1901 PR65 Cameo PCGS, Utrecht mint. Extremely rare in Proof, with a reported mintage of only 40 pieces. Tied with two others, and the only two other pieces graded by PCGS, as the finest known. Watery and reflective fields muted by a gentle haze that lightly obscures what would sure be deeper mirrors beneath, decorated in a gentle autumnal aura that grips the edges of the devices." This one year type seems to be fairly common tho the proofs are rare. The equivalent Dutch coin was a ten cents (KM 119).

Recorded mintage: 300,000 plus 40 proofs.

Specification: 1.40 g, 0.640 fine silver, 15 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 36, Sch-1393.
