This specimen was lot 1211 in Sedwick Auction 36 (Winter Park, FL, November 2024), where it sold for $450. The catalog description[1] noted, "CUBA, Havana mint, gold proof 5 pesos, 2005, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, striped arms, NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo (EMO Collection Label), "top pop." Choice cameo with interesting reverse-frosted legend, currently tied with three others for finest in the NGC census, from a reported mintage of 5000 pieces. Pedigreed to The Emilio M. Ortiz Collection of Cuban Gold Coins." This NCLT was part of a set celebrating wonders of the ancient world. Friedberg does not list any Cuban gold coins after Fr-100 (issued 2001).

Recorded mintage: 5,000 proofs.

Specification: 1.24 g, 0.999 fine gold, 0.040 troy oz AGW, 14 mm diameter.
