This specimen was lot 1934 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $1,904. The catalog description[1] noted, "COSTA RICA: Republic, AR 250 colones, 1983, National arms // Guaria Morada orchid, struck at the Franklin Mint, mintage of only 393 pieces! PCGS graded PF68 DC, R." In 1982, US$1 = 42 colones.
