This specimen was lot 786 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 28 (Winter Park, FL, November 2020), where it sold for $2,640. The catalog description[1] noted, "Costa Rica, brass 5 centimos, 1921GCR, NGC MS 65, finest known in NGC census. Deeply rainbow toned over lustrous dark surfaces, no marks or wear, single finest above ten others in NGC census." This type, struck in brass in 1920-22 and 1936-1941, is common tho this is a better date.
Reported Mintage: 500,000, the best date.
