The colon was introduced in 1897 and reformed in 1917 and 1920. This two centimos is a product of the Philadelphia mint. Altho this is the only issue of this denomination, it is common in all grades despite a good portion being restruck into five centimos.

Recorded mintage: 630,000 of which 274,000 where restruck into five centimos in 1942.
