This specimen was lot 44564 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 100,000 Pesos, 1991. PROOF-69 DEEP CAMEO (PCGS). Centennial of President Mariano Ospina Perez. Hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. No toning, spots, or haze. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." Ospina Perez (1891-1976) was the leader of the Conservative party and was president when Jorge Eliécer Gaitán was assassinated in 1948, setting off the Bogotazo and later La Violencia.
