This five pesos was struck in Bogotá, Colombia, of a type issued 1989-93. It is common in all grades. It exemplifies the trend toward drab, low relief coin design. As recently as 1930, the five pesos was a gold coin the size of a British sovereign.
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: copper-aluminum-nickel, 17.3 mm diameter.
