This fifty pesos was struck in Bogotá for Colombia, of a type issued 1989-94. A variety (KM 283.2) exists with 72 beads instead of 66 beads. Inflation terminated the one centavo in 1978, the five centavos in 1979, the ten centavos in 1980, the fifty centavos in 1982 and the two pesos in 1988.
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: copper-nickel-zinc, 21.8 mm diameter.
