This twenty pesos is of a type issued for Colombia 1982-1989. This specimen was part of lot 42614 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), which sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Uncirculated Mint Set, 1985-88. BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED. 6 pieces in set. Uncirculated denomination mint set from "Casa de Moneda Ibague", from an issue of 2,000. 1987 2 Pesos, KM-263; 1988 5 Pesos, KM-268; 1988 10 Pesos, KM-270; 1988 20 Pesos, KM-271; 1988 50 Pesos, KM-272; and 1985 1 Peso, KM-unlisted, Restrepo-428.8, Restrepo states that this date is a pattern and does not occur outside of the mint set. In original mint sealed card and with original envelope. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins."
