This two pesos is of a type issued for Colombia 1977-83, 1987-88. This specimen was part of lot 42614 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), which sold for $228. The catalog description^[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Uncirculated Mint Set, 1985-88. BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED. 6 pieces in set. Uncirculated denomination mint set from "Casa de Moneda Ibague", from an issue of 2,000. 1987 2 Pesos, KM-263 ...In original mint sealed card and with original envelope. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins."
