This ten centavos was struck in Bogotá, Colombia, of a type issued 1952-66. This type, featuring the bust of Indian chief Calarcá, replaced a silver ten centavos with the head of Santander which was issued 1945-52. Santander reappeared on the ten centavos in 1967-80.

Recorded mintage: 61,672,000.

Specification: copper-nickel, 18.5 mm diameter.
