Colombia 1851-B 10 reales

from the Mountain Groan Collection

This type was struck 1850-51 and is scarce but not rare in circulated condition. It is the second type struck to this standard; the first being KM 107, struck 1847-48. It was replaced by a silver peso (KM 118) struck 1855-59 which is quite a bit more available.

Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine, .7234 troy oz ASW; this specimen: 24.93 grams.
