This specimen was lot 44170 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $528. The catalog description^[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/4 Real, 1848. Bogota Mint. VF-25 (PCGS). Fully detailed, dark gray toning. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck at Bogotá and Popayán 1837-48. This final date is rare.
