This type was struck 1837-46 at Bogotá. This type is common. This specimen was lot 1667 in Sincona sale 38 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$216 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Republik Nueva Granada, 1837-1859 1 Peso 1839. RS-Bogota, Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (republic of Nueva Granada, 1837-59, gold peso of 1839, Bogota mint. Very fine-extremely fine.)"

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.875 fine gold, .047 troy oz AGW, this specimen 1.68 g.
