Sincona sale 76, lot 1675

This specimen was lot 1675 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 17,000 CHF (about US$20,635 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Grisons | Chur, Bistum. Joseph Benedikt von Rost, 1728-1754. Dukat 1749, Chur. Sehr selten. Fast FDC. NGC MS63. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Switzerland, bishopric of Chur, Joseph Benedict of Rost, 1728-54, ducat of 1749, Chur mint. Very rare, About uncirculated, Magnificent condition.)"

This issue was accompanied by five ducats (KM 169), six ducats (KM 170) and seven ducats (KM 171). We don't know the occasion for the issue.
