Stack's Bowers April 2021 Hong Kong sale, part of lot 51412

This specimen was part of lot 51412 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description^[1] noted,

"CHINA. Scalloped Gold and Silver Proof Set (2 Pieces), 2014. Lunar Series, Year of the Horse. GEM PROOF. 1) Gold 200 Yuan (1/2 Ounce). Scalloped shape coin. 2) Silver 10 Yuan. Scalloped shape coin. KM-unlisted. Includes the case of issue and certificate of authenticity #186."

Altho these NCLT's are now seven years old, the SCWC has not got around to adding them to the listings.

Recorded mintage: 8,000.

Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold, 27 mm diameter scalloped, .500 troy oz AGW.
