This specimen was lot 1412 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $3,630. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE, Republic. 1818-present. AV Onza. Santiago mint. Dated 1979. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 68. Gem prooflike BU. Only 1,580 pieces minted." This bullion coin was struck in small numbers 1978-83. The SCWC has moved it to Unusual World Coins.
