This specimen was lot 74208 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 1/2 Real, 1810-So FJ. Santiago Mint. Ferdinand VII. PCGS Genuine--Damage, EF Details. Type with bust of Charles IV. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck at Santiago 1808-17 in limited numbers and was the final half real struck with the portrait of the king. Assayer FJ operated 1803-17 and survived into the republican regime.
