Steve Album sale 55, lot 3287

This specimen was lot 3287 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA: Charles III, 2022-, AR 30 dollars, 2024, Signs of the Zodiac - Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee, contains 2.015 troy ounces of pure silver, with COA and original Royal Canadian Mint case of issue, Proof. Enhanced with selective color, the reverse design is an engraved celestial illustration of the Sun and Moon surrounded by the 12 signs of the Zodiac. Inspired by classical Greek sculpture, the figures representing each sign on the outer circle are paired with their corresponding glyph in the second band, which is set against a colorful night sky, and these are numbered based on their zodiacal order (beginning at the top and moving in a counterclockwise direction): Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces." NCLT's of this denomination issued in 2024 included KM 3456 (shown here), KM 3457, KM 3458, KM 3504 and KM 3505. Most have the queen's portrait even tho she had died in 2022. Her son, Charles III, authorized this to reduce the waste of dies.
