from the Stack's Bowers June 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 70517

This specimen was lot 70517 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $480. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CANADA. 100 Dollars, 1992. Ottawa Mint. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Celebrating the 350th anniversary of the founding of Montreal, this nearly-flawless Gem dazzles with an incredibly alluring cameo nature on each side." Gold one hundred dollar gold coins were struck to this standard 1987-2003, each year with a different subject. All are priced the same in the SCWC.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.
