This specimen was lot 3206 in Aureo y Calicó sale 422 (Barcelona, December 2023), where it sold for 30 € (about US$39 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Canadá. 1988. Isabel II. 5 dólares. En plastico original. AG. S/C [in original plastic packaging, uncirculated]." This type introduced the Maple Leaf in silver. It was struck 1988-89 before a new bust of the queen was adopted. This denomination was also used for 1/10 oz gold (KM 135) and 1/10 oz platinum (KM 164) bullion coins.
