Canada 1976 100 dollars Fr-7
This specimen was lot 853 in Jean Elsen sale 131 (Brussels, December 2016), where it sold for €510 (about US$640 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"CANADA, Elisabeth II (1952-), AV 100 dollars, 1976. Jeux olympiques. 25 mm (1/2 oz). Flan poli. (Canada, Elizabeth II (since 1952), gold 100 dollars of 1976, for the Olympic Games, proof.)"
Gold one hundred dollar gold coins were struck to this standard 1976-86, each year with a different subject. All are priced the same in the SCWC. Confusingly, for 1976 there also exists an Olympic gold 100 dollars (KM 115) but it is only .250 troy oz.
