This specimen was lot 72247 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Dollar, 1971. Ottawa Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-68. Incredibly vibrant, this Gem offers extremely mirrored surfaces and intense rainbow iridescence." This silver dollars were issued to honor the centennial of the admission of British Columbia to the confederation. Nickel voyageur dollars were also minted for circulation.

Recorded mintage: 585,674.

Specification: 23.33 g, 0.500 fine silver, 36 mm diameter.
