This specimen was lot 32378 in Heritage sale 3089 (Dallas, TX, January 2021), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. Elizabeth II Prooflike 50 Cents 1960 PL68 Cameo PCGS, Royal Canadian mint. Simply superb. Though rather common in lower grades, this Prooflike specimen goes above and beyond the norm, with flawless surfaces and glittering cartwheel luster. The sole finest example certified by PCGS." This type, featuring the first bust of the queen, was issued in large quantities 1953-58. The reverse was modified in 1959 and struck in this form until 1964.
