This specimen was lot 23388 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Specimen Cent 1923, SP66 BN PCGS Belzberg, deep brown surfaces with razor sharp design features, a choice Specimen striking of this key date Cent. From The Nikita Collection." This type, struck at Ottawa 1920-36, is common in all grades tho the years 1922-25 are scarce.

Recorded mintage: 1,019,002.

Specification: 3.24 g, bronze, 19.1 mm diameter, plain edge.
