This coin, minted in Paris, was issued 1924-26 during the period of French mandate over the territory of Cameroon. It is accompanied by a similar fifty centimes and one franc. Later, in 1960, Cameroon would attain independence. The obverse and reverse design are similar to what was being issued in many other French colonies in Africa.
Recorded mintage: 500,000.
