This specimen was lot 3450 in Sincona sale 3 (Zürich, October 2011), where it sold for 2,900 CHF (about US$3,858 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "CONSTANTINUS V COPRONYMUS, 741-775 Mint of Rome With Leo IV Debased metal solidus 751/775. Obv. D(retrograd) NO CON – TANTN Crowned bust with short beard facing, wearing chlamys and holding globe cruciger in r. hand and akakia in l. hand. Rev. D(retrograd) NO LЄ – P A MЧL Bust of Leo IV facing, wearing crown and chlamys, in r. hand globe cruciger, akakia in l. hand. R in l. field, I in r. field. DOC 36. S. 1570. 2,43 g. Very rare.
