This specimen was lot 3399 in Sincona sale 3 (Zürich, October 2011), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$865 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "JUSTINIANUS II, 2nd Reign 705-711 Mint of Constantinople Fractions Tremissis 705/711. Obv. (d N IhS ChS) RЄX RЄGNANTIЧM Bust of Christ facing. Cross behind his head. In his l. hand Book of Gospels, his r. hand raised in benediction. He has curly hair and a close cut beard and wears pallium and colobium. Rev. (D(retrograd) N IЧS – TINIA - NЧS MЧ)LTЧS AN´ Crowned bust facing wearing loros; in r. hand cross potent on three steps, in l. hand patriarchal cross on globe inscribed PAX. DOC 5. MIB 5.
