This specimen was lot 3118 in Sincona sale 3 (Zürich, October 2011), where it sold for 475 CHF (about US$632 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "TIBERIUS II CONSTANTINUS, 578-582 Mint of Constantinople Solidus 578/582. Officina I. Obv. dm TIb CONS - TANT PP AVG Crowned and cuirassed bust facing. Crown elaborate with pendilia. On l. shoulder shield with horseman device; in r. hand globe cruciger. Rev. VICTORI – A AVGG I Cross potent on four steps. CONOB below. DOC 4j. MIB 4. S. 422. 4,43 g.
