This specimen was lot 51067 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $5,520. The catalog description[1] noted, "BURMA. 2 Mu 1 Pe (1/4 Mohur), CS 1228 (1866). NGC AU-55. A difficult type in more elevated states of preservation, this piece utilizes a temple lion as its obverse design. Very lightly handled, offering a delightful golden-orange nature and some remaining brilliance." A pe was half a mu. One kyat = one rupee = five mat = ten mu. The obverse features the Burmese lion or chinze.
