This specimen was lot 40233 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Buckinghamshire. Slough. Silver 1/2 Penny Token, 1795. PCGS PROOF-64. An EXTREMELY RARE off-metal proof strike in Silver, this token from John Peckham presents extremely well in the silver composition, with boldly applied details, a glittering luster, and touches of exceptional rainbow toning present in the open fields. Any trade issue in silver is a rare opportunity, and we can find no example of this specific type in silver having been offered before."
