This specimen was lot 75018 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Taler, 1871-B. Hannover Mint. Wilhelm. PCGS AU-55." This type of 1858-59 and 1865-71 is the most available thaler from this state in the nineteenth century, whose coinage had virtually ceased when this issue appeared.
