This specimen was lot 1706 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 75,000 CHF (about US$100,658 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Brixen, Bistum, Erzherzog Karl von Österreich, 1608-1624. 10 Dukaten 1618, Breslau. Stempelschneider Hans Rieger, Münzmeister Valentin Janus. CAROL D G ARCH AVST DVX BVR COM TIR - Mzz. Barhäuptiges Brustbild im reichverzierten Kapuzenmantel und mit grossem Hemdkragen nach rechts, umher ein Schnurkreis. Rv. Rosette EPVS BRIX WRATISLAVIENS Mzz. Ao:16·18: Der mit dem Erzherzogshut bedeckte vielfeldige Wappenschild, zu dessen Seite die mitrierten Wappenschilde von Brixen und Breslau stehen. This specimen was offered again as lot 1099 in Sincona Auction 100 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 48,000 CHF (about US$72,346 including buyers' fees). This rare coin was struck with thaler dies (KM 7/Dav-3459). Other coinage for 1618 included a double thaler, half ducat and ducat. The bishopric was secularized and annexed to Austria in 1802.
