Stephen Album internet sale 28, lot 1348

This specimen was lot 1348 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $102. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH HONDURAS: George VI, 1936-1952, 5 cents, 1945, a wonderful example, PCGS graded MS64." This type was struck 1942-47 and is common tho scarce in nice condition. The country, long claimed by Guatemala, is now known as Belize. The issues of British Honduras are marked by their dull design; the reverse on this coin was used during the reigns of queen Victoria, kings Edward VII, George V, George VI and later queen Elizabeth II.

Recorded mintage: 65,000 plus proofs.
