Breslau 1711 1/12 ducat Fr-349
This specimen was lot 1813 in Sincona sale 66 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$1,975 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HEILIGES ROMISCH REICH, Joseph I. 1705-1711. 1/12 Dukat 1711, Breslau. Stempelschneider Georg Hoffmann. Wardein Franz Nowack. Sehr selten. Vorzüglich-FDC. Leicht gewellt. (Austria, Joseph I, 1705-11, one-twelfth ducat of 1711, Breslau mint. Very rare, Extremely fine-uncirculated, Slightly wavy flan.)"
The Bishopric of Breslau was an ecclesiastical state in Silesia and usually ruled by a Hapsburg client from 1526 until its conquest by Frederick the Great in 1741. Breslau issued a long series of ducats and multiple ducats, all rare.
