Sincona sale 66, lot 1808

This specimen was lot 1808 in Sincona sale 66 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$1,975 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HEILIGES ROMISCH REICH, Joseph I. 1705-1711. 1/12 Dukat 1710, Breslau. Stempelschneider Georg Hoffmann. Wardein Franz Nowack. Äusserst selten. Vorzüglich-FDC. Leicht gewellt. (Austria, Joseph I, 1705-11, Extremely rare, Extremely fine-uncirculated, Slightly wavy flan.)"

The Bishopric of Breslau was an ecclesiastical state in Silesia and usually ruled by a Hapsburg client from 1526 until its conquest by Frederick the Great in 1741. Breslau issued a long series of ducats and multiple ducats, all rare.
