This specimen was lot 22166 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $282. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bremen. Taler, 1871. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder." This is the last issue of the independent free city of Bremen and commemorated the peace ending the Franco-Prussion War. The next large silver coin from Bremen was a five mark of 1906 (Dav-630).
