This specimen was lot 30471 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "Pedro II gold 10000 Reis 1854 MS61 NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint. A fairly lustrous piece, with a charming golden-orange tone and some scattered hairlines commensurate with the grade assigned. From the Ipanema Collection." This type was struck 1853-67, 1871-89.
Recorded mintage: 163,000, a common date.
