The first specimen was lot 23178 in Heritage sale 3009 (Chicago, April 2010), where it sold for $207. The catalog description[1] noted, "João as Prince Regent 160 Reis 1810R, VF-XF, lightly cleaned, well struck for the type." This specimen is a three year type struck at the Rio mint 1810-15. Similar silver 160 réis were struck at Bahia during 1811-12 (KM 306.2). Earlier silver 160 réis are known, starting in 1695. Most are scarce to rare tho the 1813 is available.
