This specimen was lot 23880 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description[1] noted, "Maria I gold 2000 Reis 1793, Uncirculated Details - Surface Hairlines NGC. Fully struck and lightly muted after a delicate cleaning. From The RLM Collection, Part II." The type was struck 1787, 1792 and 1793 without mintmark. It is the last of its denomination.
Recorded mintage: 1,500.
