This coin is a one year type but is quite common. It superseded copper-nickel issues of 1937 and 1939 and silver issues from before 1909. No coins were issued for Bolivia between 1951 and the reform of 1965.

Recorded mintage: 10,000,000 plus 5,310,000 restrikes (KM 182a.2).
