This specimen was lot 1260 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "[[Bolivia |BOLIVIA]]: Republic, AR 8 soles, 1848, assayer FM, Potosi Mint, once lightly cleaned, XF-AU, ex Almer H. Orr III Collection." This type was struck 1848-51 and this is a common date. The eight soles with Bolivar facing right is scarce.
