This specimen was lot 1943 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 26,000 CHF (about US$34,357 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"TSCHECHIEN, Böhmen, Ludwig II. Jagiello, 1516-1526. Dukat o. J., Prag. Münzmeister Wilhelm Kostka von Postupic. Sehr selten. Fast vorzüglich. Leichte Prägeschwäche. (kingdom of Bohemia, Louis II Jagiello, 1516-26, undated ducat, Prague mint. Very rare, About extremely fine, Slightly weakly struck.)

Im März 1509 liess Wladislaus II. seinen dreijährigen Sohn Ludwig zum König von Böhmen krönen. Die ungarische Krönung war bereits vorausgegangen. Die Goldprägung Ludwigs umfasste Dukaten von 1518, 1520 und ohne Jahreszahl. (In March 1509, Ladislaus II had his three-year-old son Louis crowned King of Bohemia. The Hungarian coronation had already taken place. Louis's gold coinage included ducats from 1518, 1520 and undated.)"

Louis's death in 1526 ended Hungarian independence. Louis left no heir and the ensuing three way struggle between the Hapsburgs, the Turks and the Transylvanians led to partition in the 1540's. The Hapsburgs also seized Bohemia and ruled it until 1918.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 3.53 g.
