This specimen specimen was part of lot 20039 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), which sold for $4,320. The catalog description[2] noted, "BHUTAN. Three Piece Proof Set, 1966. Fr-4-6; KM-PS3. 3 pieces in set. From a mintage of only 72 sets struck in platinum. Struck to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the accession of Jigme Wangchuck. All are graded and certified by NGC. The Sertum was given an Ultra Cameo designation while the 2 Sertum and the 5 Sertum were each given Cameo designation. NGC PROOF-66 CAMEO, PROOF-67 CAMEO & PROOF-68 ULTRA CAMEO." This specimen was issued by Bhutan along with a gold five sertrums (KM 35), gold one sertrum (KM 33), copper-nickel three rupees (KM 32), one rupee (KM 31), fifty naya paisa (KM 30), twenty-five naya paisa (KM 29).

Recorded mintage: 800 plus 598 proofs plus 72 struck in platinum.

Specification: KM-34: 15.98 g, 0.917 fine gold, .468 troy oz AGW; KM-34a: 19.87 g, .950 fine platinum.
