This specimen was lot 4971 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,098 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BENTHEIM-TECKLENBURG-RHEDA, GRAFSCHAFT, Adolf, 1606-1625. 1/16 Taler (1/2 Blamüser) 1618, Freudenberg, mit Titel von Matthias. 2. Art. RR Kl. Schrötlingsriß, sehr schön. Aus der Sammlung "Cygnus in Nummis". Exemplar der Slg. Modes, Auktion Hess Nachf. 183, Frankfurt 1926, Nr. 3404 und der Slg. Kennepohl, Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 93, Osnabrück 2004, Nr. 4121. (county of Bentheim-Tecklenburg-Rheda, Adolf, 1606-25, 1/16 thaler of 1618, Freudenberg mint, struck in the name of the emperor Matthias. Very rare, planchet crack, very fine.)"
Bentheim is on the border between the bishopric of Munster and the Netherlands. Thalers exist for this locale but are very rare, so collectors must content themselves with minors. The SCWC lists this type for 1618-19.
