This type was struck at Brussels for Belgium 1958-2000. Earlier styles (KM 144 and 145), with slight changes to the miner's bust on the reverse, were struck 1952-55. Some dates exist with medal alignment (KM 148.2). The coin is now obsolete.

Recorded mintage: 5,860,000.

Specification: 2.75 g, bronze, 19 mm diameter.
