This specimen was lot 1301 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"GERMANY, Bavaria, Maximilian II. Emanuel, 1679-1726. 1/2 Taler 1694, München. Äusserst selten. Gutes vorzüglich. Feine Patina. (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian II Emanuel, 1679-1726, half thaler of 1694, Munich mint. Extremely rare, Good extremely fine, Nicely toned.)"
In addition to the shield obverse shown here, the SCWC also records a bust obverse half thaler (KM 361, similar to this thaler). Either would count as the first half thaler since 1638.
