This specimen was lot 4027 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 3,750 CHF (about US$5,440 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Basel, Stadt und Kanton, Dukat o. J. (um 1650), Basel. Basilisk mit grossem geschweiften Wappen nach rechts blickend. Rv. Gebogene Inschrift auf Kartusche. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Basel, undated ducat, circa 1650, Basel mint. Obverse: basilisk right with large city arms; reverse: five line inscription in cartouche. Rare, About Extremely Fine.)"
